MEET THE ARTIST
Embracing her fondness for the arts, color, and composition, Sonia first started her career in beauty working for MAC Cosmetics. She served as a staff artist for five years and completed certifications in advanced make-up application and fashion show make-up application. Since her tenure at MAC, she has freelanced for the last six years, and continues to refine her skills by participating in advanced workshops, including one hosted by the famed Mario Dedivanovic. Initially self-taught in hair design, she expanded her expertise by participating in workshops, including one taught by Lara C Kay from Los Angeles.
Though Sonia specializes in South Asian bridal beauty, she has extensive experience in creating unique, stunning looks catered to the personal style of any bride or occasion. Numerous brides styled by Sonia have been featured in publications such as Maharani Weddings and South Asian Bride Magazine. A sampling of these features are included below.
